If you’ve been playing Cyberpunk 2077, you probably panicked when an overheat attack warning flashed up on screen, and you don’t know what it means or how to stop it. Before you freak out, we can explain what an overheat attack is, where it’s coming from and make sure things don’t get heated up.
You are probably familiar with Overheat Option from your own Quickhacks. It’s an attack you can launch on other people and your enemies that can burn them up from the inside when you hack them using your cyberware. It can be quite handy in taking out enemies from a distance.
However, if you see an Overheat warning appear on your screen during shootouts or fighting enemies it means that someone is hacking you and doing the same thing. This attack can be quite irritating and you will take a serious amount of damage if you won’t stop it.
Here are some tips to deal with enemies Overheat attacks:
- The first thing you should do is to identify the enemy that is doing the hack. The “I Spy” perk from your quickhacking located at the intelligent skill tree, will reveal the enemy when they try to hack you.
- Now that you identify who is hacking you, you can avoid or prevent them from hacking you by shooting or breaking nearby cameras.
- You can also stop the process of enemies hacking you by getting out of sight before the Overheating bar fills.
- But one tip that can surely help you break the Overheat attack is killing the enemy that is hacking you.
